The Travelpro Macy line is not the same as buying from the Travelpro site...it's lower-quality components, to be sold at a lower price point, I did not know this when I bought the luggage. I bought the Travelpro WalkAbout check-in luggage in the large size, the dimensions equal 68 inches, which is over-sized for American Airlines, it has to be under 62 inches. (you can pay a fee for over-sized luggage) In addition, the luggage has a very strong chemical odor, it is strong enough to permeate my entire living room when I took it out of the cardboard box. I'm returning this and bought the Platinum Elite medium check-in luggage (62 inches) from the Travelpro site. I hope this review helps you decide which luggage you want to purchase.

Purchased this 27 inch check-in and 23 inch carry-on. A test for a spinner is that you’re supposed to give them a push and release them on tight carpet, and make sure that they travel straight. Well, the carry-on did not. Is that either here or there? I don’t know yet, because I was struggling to move both suitcases through the airport. I’m not sure how you’re supposed to move both at once. I ended up turning the carry-on sideways and putting it on over the 27 inch, and bungee them together. When I received my luggage at Chicago O’Hare, there was a dent in the top right of the 27 inch. When unpacking, I popped it back out. But I wonder, will this break the supporting plastic? Relative was amazed at how light my bags were.

Bought it, have only ever had a Travel pro bag (the more expensive version of this bag the "Crew Bag" ) took it on 1 trip, the fabric at the base of the bag came down the luggage shute in Austin with a nice tear... will be returning this.

Soft, perfect size and very spacious, the only thing I didn't like much was the handlebar, they made the hand part very small, other than that for me everything is perfect.
